Flavio Pando joined Financial Journey Partners in 2017, and he is our Senior Investment Analyst and Head Trader. Flavio spends his time researching and analyzing stocks, fixed income and market indexes. He leads our daily investment meetings and based on factors such as performance, technical indicators and current events, he recommends actions for individual and bulk trades to provide the personalized service that our clients appreciate. Flavio is also responsible for Compliance and ensuring due diligence is performed per FINRA and SEC standards.
Flavio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Santa Clara University. While there, he worked in the university’s Finance Department which reinforced his desire to pursue Finance as a career. Post college, Flavio worked for his father’s real estate business establishing automated accounting practices leveraging QuickBooks and working closely with his father managing the business. After a year, Flavio pursued work as a Financial Advisor for Waddle and Reed. Through this experience, he found the investment side of the business was more interesting to him and decided to pursue this career track. Flavio met Elaine and Scott Manley while working at Waddell & Reed and joined their team after being an advisor for over 4 years.
When he’s not at work, Flavio enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. They especially enjoy taking their kids to experience new places, exploring the beach, mountains, snow, etc. Flavio is a big sports fan; he loves the 49ers and Giants and rarely misses a game. He also enjoys watching soccer and hockey, rooting for local teams such as the Sharks and Earthquakes. Flavio was a high school athlete at Bellarmine College Prep and enjoys weightlifting and working out. Among his many hobbies, Flavio and his car participate annually in the Saratoga car show.
